Frequently Asked Questions

Before you arrive…

I’ve never Glamped - What do I pack?

Glamping is glamorous, luxury camping - where we’ve done all the hard work for you. It’s very similar to an extravagant hotel room, only with more space and canvas walls.

However, if you’d like to take advantage of the Whitsunday's delightful surrounds, it’s a good idea to pack your favourite walking shoes, a wide brimmed hat and a reusable water bottle.

Zoolodgeica’s glamping tents provide you with all the details: fluffy white towels, toiletries, cutlery, a gas BBQ, a refrigerator, endless hot water and even a bubble bath*!

*King Safari Tents only.

What if I forget something?

Zoolodgeica is about 15-minute drive to shops in Cannonvale, Airlie Beach and Proserpine, where you can purchase any last minute food essentials. Local restaurants and cafes are also in these locations. If you just need a great coffee, Busy Bees Nursery is only 800m away down Conway Road.

Can I bring my children?

Of course you can! Please add the children on at the time of booking and this will ensure a luxury stretcher will be ready for them in your tent. You can also add a kids stargazer tent which we can pitch right outside your safari tent so that they can enjoy a night under the stars, not far from you.
We provide Porta-Cots for the little ones and comfy padded stretchers with white linen for older children.

Our tents are best suited to no more than two adults and two children, so let us know if you have more than that and we'll do our best to accommodate you.

Can I bring my dog?

Whilst we love pets, it is a condition of your stay that pet dogs and cats are not permitted.

Of course, service-trained animals are welcome.

Getting here and accommodation…

Where can I stay?

Zoolodgeica provides two kinds of Glamping tents:

  • King Safari Tents and
  • Queen Safari Tents.

How do I find you?

We're easy to find - Google Maps is the easiest way to find us:

12 Evans Road, Preston, QLD 4800

Turn onto Conway Road (from Shute Harbour Road), and follow along towards Conway Beach. About eight kilometres down Conway Road, Evans Road is on the right-hand side just after the first large hill (after Taylorwood Caravan Park).

Getting around

The best way to get around the Whitsunday region is with a car. You can rent one from Proserpine Airport (Thrifty, Hertz, Avis and Budget) or at Airlie Beach.

Alternatively, if you don't feel you need a car, and want to 'Base Glamp', simply book a transfer from Proserpine Airport and use Woolworths or Coles home delivery service to get supplies brought directly to your tent! We can also arrange food hampers, which you can add at the time of booking.

Is there TV and internet access?

We have provided you with unlimited WiFi for you to use around your tent. However, our tents do not have televisions.
